Former Attorney General Bill Barr said on Wednesday that Donald Trump knew well he lost the election . Barr also described Trumps alleged actions as detailed in the indictment as nauseating and despicable saying someone who engaged in that kind of bullying about a process that is fundamental to our system and to our selfgovernment shouldnt be anywhere near the Oval Office . Barr defended special counsel Jack Smith in his first interview since Trumps third indictment on Tuesday . The former attorney general said he believes Smith has more evidence to prove that the former president knew the election was not stolen . Barr declined to say whether he has spoken with Smiths team as part of the investigation . Barr said there is a lot more to come and he would not rule out voting for Trump if he were to be the Republican presidential nominee . He said he would ‘pick my poison at that point’ if he was to run for the White House again . Barr is expected to be arraigned at the D.C. federal court on Thursday afternoon . He is scheduled to be back in court on the fourth charge against Trump on Thursday morning . He has been accused of lying to the special counsels team of trying to defraud the U.S. Attorney General Richard Nixon in a federal court appearance on Tuesday afternoon in New York . He also said he has been charged with a federal charge of $1.2 million in a separate federal charge. The former president is accused of a federal count of $2.5 million in the federal charge for a federal indictment of $3.4 million in November of lying on a federal federal charge that he had been indicted for a single count of perjury. He was accused of violating a federal misdemeanor of perjury in a single federal count. He has also been charged.
