Most Americans oppose Congress authorizing additional funding to support Ukraine in its war with Russia according to a new poll conducted by SSRS . The public splits over whether the US has already done enough to assist Ukraine . Democrats and Republicans far apart on how much the US should be doing to assist Ukraines efforts to push back the Russian military campaign . A majority of Americans do express concern that Russias war in Ukraine will threaten US national security but thats down significantly February were worried about threats to US security but a bigger worry across partisan lines in the new poll is that the war will continue without a resolution for a long time . President Joe Biden earns the approval of of Americans for his handling of the situation in Ukraine . Almost in Republicans approves of how he is handling the US relationship with Russia. A similar approve of his handling the relationship with the country with Russia well above his overall approval rating among Republicans which stands at $35,000 . The poll was conducted from July through among a random national sample of adults initially reached by mail by mail .
