Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is expected to present her case before a grand jury early next week . The potential indictments are a culmination of an investigation that has lasted more than two years and could result in conspiracy and racketeering charges . She campaigned on the premise of restoring integrity to the Fulton County district attorneys office was elected after ousting sixterm incumbent Paul Howard and inherited a stack of backlogged cases . The mother of two told South Atlanta Magazine shortly after she was elected that she wanted to serve as district attorney but in my mind I would never run but the cries got louder and I just took a leap of faith and did what God called me to do what she did .
