Former Georgia GOP chairman David Shafer who led the states delegation of fake electors said in a court filing that he and the other fake electors acted at the direction of the incumbent President and other federal officials . Shafer is one of four defendants who have turned themselves in so far according to county inmate records . Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Jeffrey Clark the former Justice Department official indicted after trying to use his federal law enforcement powers to overturn the election have asked a federal judge to block them from being arrested by local authorities . The pair of defendants sought to move their cases to federal court on Monday at a hearing at a federal hearing . Prosecutors issued subpoenas to two people who listened in on Trumps January call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensger as they plan to get the case to counter the case . The subpoenas do not spell out why they are being called to testify at the hearing at the federal hearing on Monday . Prosecutors have not released a timetable for the subpoenas that they are expected to appear in the hearing .
