House Republicans expected to huddle Monday evening at p.m. ET to discuss spending and other issues including investigations a chance to check in during a sixweek recess not scheduled to end until midSeptember . The Senate also still has to pass all of their bills to get back into their respective respective appropriations bills to avoid a shutdown. Lawmakers will also need to pass a short term spending measure to give them more time to negotiate but a CR could be a heavy lift.
