Rudy Giuliani has filed a new legal challenge against the criminal charges he faces in Georgia over his attempts to subvert the presidential election . The former Trump attorney on Friday asked Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee to quash the indictment or at least to set a hearing on the matter . Giuliani argued in the filing that there were deficiencies in the indictment that render it invalid and that prosecutors are violating his rights against double jeopardy by how they structured the racketeering conspiracy allegations . Giuliani also is an unindicted coconspirator in Trumps federal election subversion case . Georgia election workers who won a defamation lawsuit against Giuliani for his bogus fraud claims in the election say they are entitled to another in attorneys fees stemming from the discovery disputes that arose in the case . It will be up to US District Judge Beryl Howell to approve the amount Giuliani must pay them . A trial to determine the amount of damages for which Giuliani will be held liable will be set for later this year or early next month or early this year . A separate case a judge ruled that he defamed two Georgia election worker Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss after he failed to provide information sought in subpoenas after he didn’t comply with subpoenas . A jury will decide what he should pay . The ask would be in addition to Giuliani’s original request for Giuliani to comply with the request . A federal judge Beryl Howell to approve . Giuliani held a fundraiser Thursday to help with the lawsuit . He has previously reported that he owes the amount to his own lawyer. In a separate case, he said that he had failed to cooperate with Georgia election . He also said he didn’t comply with an earlier version of this article. He has said he failed with the suit. He
