Travis King’s sister says Travis King is ‘not the type to just disappear’ Travis

US Army Pvt. Travis King crossed the border between North and South Korea in the demilitarized zone last month . Family members say they have no reason to believe he is not the type to just disappear . State Department says North Korea has reached out to the United Nations Command in the last hours but there is not seen as progress in any way . North Korea says it has responded to the U.N. Command with regards to Private King in a statement sent to UNC Director of Public Affairs Col. Isaac Taylor . King is believed to be the first US soldier to cross into North Korea since the end of the Korean War in is the first to do so in the DMZ . North Korean officials have not responded to requests for his return from family members of Otto Warmbier, a US college student who died less than a week after returning to the US in North Korea after being detained for months in North Korean custody in the wake of his detainment in the months before his death .
