A Russian and Chinese naval patrol consisting of several vessels operated off the coast of Alaska last week . Alaskas Republican Sens. A research fellow at the U.S. Studies Center in Australia echoed the NORNORTHCOM repsonse that the foreign warships were not a threat to the US and said they acted according to international law just as US Navy vessels do when operating off the Chinese or Russian coasts in the IndoPacific region .
