The US has announced that it will start training Ukrainian pilots to fly F fighter jets in October . The pilots still need to go through English language training before they can begin learning to operate the fourthgeneration American jets . The language classes will also take place in the US at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas . Ukraine put forward a list of approximately pilots who are ready to begin training on F fighter fighter jets according to another US official . It is not yet clear how long it will take to train the pilots who have flown Sovietera MIG and Sukhoi fighters to fly more modern western jets . Denmark and the Netherlands the two countries leading the coalition to train Ukrainians to fly and operate F fighter jet committed to sending aircraft to Ukraine over the next several years . The minimal term training is six months though it would be up to the instructors to decide how long training is required for the course of training . The training will include fundamental skills like formation flying and basic fighter maneuvers to combat maneuvering tactical intercepts and how to combat maneuvations to combat manoeuvres and intercepts of enemy air defenses .
