Former President Donald Trump falsely claimed Wednesday that polls show his support among Black Americans has quadrupled or quintupled since his mug shot was released . The booking photo was taken on August when Trump was arrested in Fulton County Georgia on charges connected to his efforts to overturn his defeat in the state in the election . Most polls conducted after the release of the mug shot did find a higher level of Black support for Trump than he had in previous polls . The increases were within the polls margins of error not massive spikes so its not clear whether there was a genuine improvement or the bump was just statistical noise . Trumps campaign did not respond to request to identify any poll that corroborates Trumps claim . One poll found a decline in Trumps strength with Black voters in a race against Biden while another found a declining in his favorability with Black respondents . Trump made another false claim to Mike Pences in a poll that he received Mike Pence in a post-election analysis that found that he had received the post election polls estimated he received that he did not receive the postelection polls estimated that he got the post-mortem of the election election . Trump said Wednesday that he was disappointed in Mike Pence’s standing in the polls in July because he was running as his running mate in July .
